You can't walk more than a block or two in Denfeld without tripping over children riding bikes, throwing footballs, or engaging in other forms of youthful frolic. This comfy, middle-class neighborhood is the home base of choice for a mix of young families and seniors. Maybe it's because the homes are packed so closely together, but west-side folks still adhere to the 1950s definition of "neighbor" - after a big snowfall, don't be surprised to find the guy up the alley snowblowing out your driveway.
