Neighborhoods in Duluth, MN

Bayview Heights is adjacent to the small city (pop. 4,000) of Proctor, so it's got a quiet, almost suburban feel. Vinland Street connects Bayview Heights with West Duluth.

This is where the people are at - particularly in the summer months, when our fair city's weekend population explodes tenfold.

This working-class Duluth neighborhood offers panoramic views of the entire city, and its name says it all - you're smack dab in the city center.

This north-central neighborhood is a mix of students and families.

It's a perfect place for families looking to buy a home and settle in - Congdon Park surrounds Congdon Park Elementary School, Ordean Middle School and East High School.

You can't walk more than a block or two in Denfeld without tripping over children riding bikes, throwing footballs, or engaging in other forms of youthful frolic.

Duluth's downtown has exploded over the past few years. Growth-wise, we mean. If you want action, you'll find it here - day, night, or wee hours of the morning.

It's one of the city's largest neighborhoods as far as area goes, and, since it's tucked around the Miller Hill retail corridor, it's one of the most bustling.

One of the city's most family-friendly neighborhoods, the East Hillside is primarily residential.

It doesn't get any further west than this. Follow Grand Avenue far enough, and you'll run smack into these communities, situated along the St. Louis River.

Just north of Duluth, the 'burb of Hermantown is on the grow. Just need a little space? This may just be the place for you.

Another great east-side neighborhood for families, Lakeside/Lester Park is a little city within a city.

This center-west neighborhood has undergone a renaissance over the past coupla' years.

Morgan Park is a neighborhood with a rich history in Minnesota industry. Built in the early 1900s as a planned community, it was centered around the U.S.

Just west of Duluth Heights is Piedmont Heights, a quiet neighborhood with sundry housing options - and there are plenty with a view.

It's the quintessential small town, only with better nightlife. Much better nightlife. Proctor, just south of Duluth, looks like it could be used as the setting of a black-and-white movie.

Adjacent to Denfeld, Spirit Valley is home to western Duluth's major business district.

This neighborhood, located northeast of the city's two four-year colleges, is a place many students and young families call home.
