Peppermint

Peppermint was a friend to a 4 year old boy. Tomorrow she will be covered in butter, garlic, onion, and oregano then cooked until she is 170 degrees in the deepest part of her thigh. My best friend Tom and many others will be celebrating his birthday with the roasting of a beautiful Berkshire hog.

I drove down to Eagan last night to get the pig, which was a perfect opportunity to smoke a La Flor Dominicana double ligero cigar. Everything I had heard about this cigar was pretty positive. Through the first half of the cigar, the smoke felt really velvety but almost no flavor to speak of. Enjoyable cigar, but not on my favorite list. Anyhow, I will be posting the details of the pig roast at a later date.

Carry on.
