I Heart Duluth

Did you know the DuSu’s goal is to attract and retain young professionals in Duluth? 
So if this website is all about staying in Duluth, what’s up with writing about travel?  Like many young people who live in Duluth, I moved here for college and never left.  I love living here.  But in order to keep loving Duluth and being happy here, I need to get away.  Especially in the winter. 

Whether I’m traveling to an exotic locale or a place as close as Minneapolis, I always return with a fresh eye on Duluth.  I’ve learned new things, experienced other cultures, eaten different food, or maybe tried learning a new language.  Through these journeys I grow and learn, and it is learning about myself and who I am that helps me to better appreciate the place I choose to live.

In short, it is leaving Duluth that makes me want to keep coming back.  So whether you too have a passion for travel or even just “armchair travel,”  I look forward to sharing with you stories of places near and far in future posts.
