Stop 'n Go at the Stop 'N Jo

If you’re ever close to the mall area, in a hurry, and don’t have time to walk into a coffee shop, you should check out Stop ‘N Jo.  Stop ‘N Jo is located across the street from Bridgeman’s (right next to Princess Bride).  The current Stop ‘N Jo location used to be a 1-Hour photo…

The day I stopped in, it wasn’t all that nice outside-- not surprising, considering that we apparently don’t get warm of weather until August here in Duluth. Rather than going through the drive thru, I decided to walk inside and chat with the workers while I ordered my drink. As soon as I walked in, a lady behind the counter greeted me.  Her co-worker, a young guy, was a little quiet. I chit-chatted with the woman for a while, then ordered a “shopping frenzy drink”, even though she told me that their smoothies are fabulous.

If you haven’t noticed them in their little nook by Princess Bride, don’t be surprised. They haven’t actually been in that location for very long.  One employee informed me that they opened in June but they haven’t had their grand opening just yet.

There isn't any seating inside the Stop 'N Jo.  They have a list of all of their drinks, hot and cold, but the best way to get information about the drinks is just to ask. Both the employees seemed to be very knowledgeable about everything, as they should be.

The nice thing about Stop ‘N Jo is that they aren’t too busy, so if you need your coffee in a hurry, you can just stop ‘n go…ha-ha good one right?

In noticing their sort of different location, I asked about how busy they get. The lady behind the counter said that they aren’t too terribly busy but with all the construction work going on in the area they get a lot of the construction workers.  The two times that I have been there, they haven’t been busy, so if you need something fast, it’s a good place to stop.

If you’re looking for a job though at a small coffee shop like Stop ‘N Jo, now might not be the best time.  Before leaving, I made a point of it to ask is they were hiring.  When I asked the lady this question she was a little apprehensive.  When I asked if they were hiring she just looked at me and said, “um no?” Not that I need a job at Stop ‘N Jo, but she told me to check back in the next week.  I don’t know about you, but after asking that and seeing her response, I’m not sure I want to check back in for a job.  I like the drinks and how nice she was, but when it came to inquiring about a job…not so much.

Oh one more thing, the other day I was out in West Duluth, and noticed that there is another Stop ‘N Jo near the Lake Superior Zoo.  So if you’re in the West end of Duluth, you can always stop there as well!
