The Coffee Cabin receives good reviews

Ever heard of the Coffee Cabin? If you haven’t, you will now!  The Coffee Cabin is located on Rice Lake Road, just past the Sunset Bar & Grill.

The other day I stopped into the Coffee Cabin for a Nutty Irishman, which consists of Irish cream, chocolate, and hazelnut. I may be a little off on what, exactly, was in my drink, but it had a bunch of tasty flavors in it!

The Coffee Cabin has some really cool flavored drinks. They had drinks called an Almond Joy, Snickers, Turtle, Nutty Irishman, etc., but believe me, they have far more than just those!

Their coffee prices are quite reasonable. They’re comparable to the prices you would see at Dunn Bros. or Beaners.

After my visit I wanted to see what other people thought of the Coffee Cabin, and I found two people who liked it just as much, if not more than me.

I found a couple reviews on yelp.com. One reviewer from Minneapolis really enjoys the Coffee Cabin. She said that she’s in the Duluth area a lot and always makes a point of it to get to the there.

Since the Coffee Cabin is in such a remote area, they don’t get a heavy flow of customer traffic. As such, they usually only have one person staffing the place, sometimes two. That was one thing this review noted:

“The service is always friendly and the drive-thru is efficient.  They make a mean latte.  However, sometimes it's a little slow because they've only got one person on staff.  The inside is small but cozy,” she wrote.

In addition to the reviewer from Minneapolis, someone from Madison, Wisconsin reviewed the Coffee Cabin.

This reviewer said that while he’s a fan of Caribou and Starbucks, he still prefers “to go to someplace unique since you can get chain coffee anywhere.”

It shows a lot about the Coffee Cabin if they have guests from Wisconsin and Minneapolis making a point to there for their coffee, given the drive required for them.

This Wisconsin reviewer made a point of saying that, “the coffee shop itself occupies about half of a small new commercial building on the west side of the road.  I probably drove by it several times before even noticing its existence, but now that I know the location I never miss it. “

Many people have probably driving by the Coffee Cabin and never knew it was even there! So, the next time you’re driving on Rice Lake Road coming from Island Lake, or going past the Sunset, make sure you find the Coffee Cabin and stop in for a drink or lunch!
