4th Annual Reggae Festival Preview

The 4th Annual Bayfront Reggae Festival kicks off on Saturday, July 11th in the beautiful Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth, MN.  The previous festivals have been a huge success, and it is easy to see why.  The festival offers a unique opportunity to experience a Reggae culture with deep roots in Jamaica.  Obviously, we here in the Northland are a bit removed from that tropical climate (thoughts of a six month long winter bring chills even now), so the festival is, for the most part, as close as many of us will get to the real thing.

The festival offers live musical performances by both traditional and contemporary Reggae bands, and concerts last all day.  Should you decide that the music isn’t for you, similar conclusions about the food will be hard to come by.  Various different kinds of food are offered at the reggae festival, including many Cajun dishes that really help to accentuate the summer.  Various arts, crafts, and other goods will be on display and for sale as well.  If the weather holds up (last year was beautiful and really made the entire experience that much more enjoyable), I would recommend this as an event for everyone to check out.
